Watched this on HBO last night.
An incredibly insightful and sobering look at the present day state of the American garment industry and it's rapid demise.
The things I found even more interesting were the comments on "Trend" and it's negative socio-econimic effect on the American economy.
If you have HBO and or HBO On Demand, do yourself a huuge favor and make sure to watch this.
ALARMING.
In 1965, 95% of American clothing was made in the USA.
In 2009, ONLY 5% of American clothing is made in the USA.
This was at the doorstep of the office this morning.
I'll make sure to pencil the event into my schedule.
Wish they still made hats like this instead of Obnoxious Technicolor 3-D embroideries ...
