Ripping Shakeout show last night.

Opening act, Roy Rapid and the Rhythm Rock Trio (Try saying that 10 times fast.) ruled. 

Headlining act, THE SIDE-WYNDERS KILLED IT !

Was super good catching up with Rene and the crew as I've not seen them in a little over a year. 

As usual, I was too busy having fun and playing music to take many pics and most of the ones I did end up taking were not so great.

07-28-10 Case File: ALPINESTARS-APEX INITIATIVE, AT MOTO GP ...

Been working on some stuff with Chris Hull over at Alpinestars-Apex Initiative for quite some time now. 

I'm honored to be part of a pretty solid cast of characters that Alpinestars invited to the 2010 Moto GP at Laguna Seca.

• Rich Roat - HOUSE INDUSTRIES

• Adam Wright - KILLER PHOTOGRAPHER and PUBLISHER of ROAD COURSE MAGAZINE

• Len Higa - 02 (Oni) MOTORWORKS , also working with ALPINESTARS OSCAR

• Mark Arcenal - FATLACE  

• Rick Jantz - THE LONE WOLF

• Amrafel Acosta - SOLID CAT and FELLOW RUCKUS BUILDER

I have to say the whole weekend was pretty overwhelming. COMPLETE Sensory Overload ... IN THE BEST WAY.

I Was amazed at how tight Gabriele and the Alpinestars crew have their operation bottled.

From design, to research and development, production logistics, marketing ... Pretty much the tightest ship I've had the pleasure of seeing ... EVER. 

I'm not going to front like I know a lot about motorcycles. However I do know something about designing and manufacturing clothing ... The amount of genuine passion amongst Alpinestars folks, as opposed to folks "Drinking the Koolaid" at other companies I've dealt with, is unmatched.

One thing that completely blew my mind was that Alpinestars has a seamstress/technician on-site to repair team riders damaged leathers.This is perhaps one of the most important jobs that I am sure is unfortunately often taken for granted or over looked. AMAZING!
